Firecracker Honey Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks and thighs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup Bee Dolce Hot Honey

Instructions:

  1. Marinate Chicken: In a large bowl, cover the chicken pieces with buttermilk. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Prepare Flour Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat Chicken: Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Fry Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through about 15-20 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve: Drizzle honey over the hot fried chicken and serve immediately.
