The pizza that ruined all other pizza for you. Sweet-spicy glaze, crispy pepperoni cups, melty cheese, and that perfect chili-honey drip.
Ingredients (Makes One 12-14inch Pizza)
Dough
-
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, room temp)
Sauce
-
½ cup pizza sauce or marinara (Rao’s, Mutti, or San Marzano crushed tomatoes seasoned lightly)
Cheese
- 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella, shredded or torn
- 3 oz fresh mozzarella (optional, for creamy pockets)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan or Pecorino
Toppings
- 3–4 oz thin-sliced pepperoni or spicy soppressata (get the kind that cups)
- Optional: thin-sliced red onion, pickled jalapeños, fresh basil after baking
Star of the Show
- ⅓ cup Bee Dolce Hot Honey (warmed slightly so it drizzles easy)
- Extra 1–2 tbsp for finishing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven as hot as it goes (500–550 °F) with a pizza stone or steel inside for at least 45 minutes. (If using a sheet pan, 475 °F is fine.)
- Stretch dough to 12–14 inches on a floured surface or parchment.
- Spread a thin, even layer of sauce, leaving a ½-inch border.
- Scatter mozzarella + fresh mozz pieces + Parmesan.
- Lay pepperoni/soppressata in a single layer (they’ll curl and crisp).
- Bake 10–14 minutes until the crust is leopard-spotted and cheese is bubbling hard.
- Immediately out of the oven:
Drizzle ⅓ cup warmed Bee Dolce Hot Honey in zig-zags all over the top.
Hit it with one more aggressive final drizzle (people go feral for the pools).
Optional: scatter fresh basil leaves or a pinch of flaky salt. - Let it rest exactly 2 minutes (so the honey sets a little), then slice.
Perfect Pairings
- Ice-cold Mexican Coke or cream soda
- Ranch or blue cheese for dipping crust (don’t come @ me — it works)
- Caesar salad or arugula salad with lemon to cut the richness
- Lager or a citrusy IPA
- Pro move: Keep the Bee Dolce bottle on the table. Everyone will hit their slice twice.
